Forehead Acne

Continuing my post about cheeks acne, I try to write more about forehead acne. Forehead is one part of our face which has more sebaceous glands and tends to breakout. Whereas we know that acne leaves scars on the skin and that it’s hard to cure both the acne and its scars. However, we still can do our best to prevent the breakout if we know the tricks. Here are some things that might be included in your check and hopefully will help to cure the forehead acne by eliminating its causes.

  • Oily hair may be a factor contributes to the forehead acne. Sebum come from the scalp can migrate to the face if your have hair hanging over your forehead. Thus, the oil easily gets into the pores and trigger acne if it combines with dirt and bacteria. Washing your hair more often may reduce the risk since it will help controlling the oiliness and then indirectly control the acne as well. Besides, if you know that your have oily hair type, choose the shampoo for oily hair.
  • The hair products may also be a cause of breakouts if you are prone to acne. Sometimes we need to set the hair using spray or gel. Then the spray spreads over the forehead and blows up the acne. Check the ingredients of these products since many sprays and gels contain comedogenic substances. These may potentially worsen acne breakouts if mix with oil from your hair.
  • Check the sequence of your bath routine. Shampooing shall not be the last step of your bath time since some shampoos and conditioners contain comedogenic ingredients. If we do facial wash at the beginning and then cover up the pores again with shampoo in the end, then the face cleansing is useless.
  • Some sources say that people with acne prone skin on the forehead are partly caused by liver congestion. But, we can not say that all people with liver problems always have forehead acne. There are a lot of people who have done liver cleanse say that their forehead acne is getting better. Why? In general we know that liver's job is to cleanse the blood from toxins. So if you have a strong liver which can quickly deactivating and clearing blood from any toxins, then you may have a stronger defense of acne.

Those are few causes that I know. I hope you enjoy and get benefits of it.

Acne Cheeks Causes

The areas where the acne grows might explain the causes of it. Knowing this symptom surely can help us to find the way to deal with it. At the moment, let start with the acne occurs on cheek. When you find the acne breakouts on your cheeks, please check this list:
  • Change the bedclothes/pillow case weekly. Dust and dirt hide in your sheet and might irritate your skin.
  • Always use clean bath towel to pat the face. Dirty towel contain bacteria which worsen the acne condition.
  • Do you have problems with your stomach? Improper digestion has a correlation to acne. When the digesting function is in trouble, the ability to break down the food into smaller particles becomes weak. Thus the absorbent of important nutrients will be poor and affects the immune system. Body cannot fight the bacteria effectively including the acne bacteria. If your acne and stomach problem are linked, try to reduce the intake of food which is hard to digest such as acidic food, spicy food, fried and oily food. If you cannot avoid eating those foods, try diluting the harsh contents in your stomach by flushing it with a glass full of plain water. Besides, pay attention to the dairy food for it may increase the hormonal oil sebum which is the main substance that forms acne. Too much oil or referred as sebum tends to collect and then blocks the pores. These trapped sebum mix with died skin cells and bacteria and grow as pimples. Try soy as the substitution for your dairy consumption.
  • Acne on the cheeks may also triggered by stress. Relaxing will help to refresh your skin.

Pimple Caused By Supplement

Some weeks ago I bought a multivitamin box as additional supplement to maintain the body resistance. After consulted for a while with the seller, I chose a new brand which I never tried before. But, after consumed it for a week, I got various problem such as oral ulceration and inflamed pimples.
Usually I get pimples during my pre-menstruation cycle. And it usually pops around the area of my chin and mouth. But that moment, the pimples were on the cheek. My husband who also take the supplement, get the same condition. Whereas his skin usually more resist with pimple.
I tried to evaluate the changes happened to my food consumption. Then I found the new thing is the supplement. Being curious with it, I stopped to take the supplement in order to see if it is the cause of my pimples and prue.
Three days later, I found that my body was getting normal. The pimples were gone and the oral ulceration stopped too.
Some supplement with specific content might contribute to urge the pop of body rejection. It might happen when body gets too much supplies of specific vitamin or if the supplement contains hazardous chemical.
Body will react to neutralize the chemical substances within three days. Too much chemical can lower the body resistance to toxin. As the result, skin will be more sensitive and brittle to be infected. We should not try to treat pimple by taking vitamin or high mineral supplement since it might worsen. Some researches show that high dosage of vitamin B6 and B12 can worsen the acne.

I’m not suggesting stopping taking supplement. But, if you get sudden pimples, try to check your food consumption if you get the same like I do.
